ABOUT THE EVENT:
The Bookies of Heritage Solaire welcome author Gini Grossenbacher to their meeting on Tuesday, December 13th, at 3:00 PM in the Twilight Room. Grossenbacher will present her novel, Madam of My Heart; the story of young Irish girl, Brianna Baird who flees her Baltimore home in 1849. Briana ends up in the streets of New Orleans with little money, and a seamstress’s trade. She is lured to a brothel, escapes and heads to San Francisco, where she becomes one of the most sought after madams in the gold rush parlor house trade. Grossenbacher will discuss her methods of research, the historical background, and how she puts everything together. Light refreshments will be served, and all who like to read are invited to listen to Gini Grossenbacher!
